Thompson Marine was established in 1990 as a division of Thompson Lawnmowers and chainsaws operating from Rotorua (New Zealand) On the 1st September 2010 Thompson Marine moved to its new premises at 31 Fairy Springs Road, a move which provides more space and easier accessibility for clients and a much larger area for our new and used boats.

Ron and Julie Baskett have owned and operated the business since 1996 and started to distribute Seaboss boats in 1997.

Dennis Williamson joined Thompson Marine in 2005 as manager of marine sales . Having owned a boat since he was 16, Dennis came with five years of retail marine sales in Rotorua and twelve years experience in commercial fishing, operating an 8m cray boat between Waihau Bay and the East Cape, Dennis knows what is required in a good boat.

Our Aim with Seaboss Boats is to fill a gap in the New Zealand market by providing a quality product at a price that remains “value for money”. The demand to date for Seaboss Boats has built on this strength through referrals from existing Seaboss owners.
